My Offer

I am an income generation leader, strategist and high value specialist, with 20 years in the sector and the substantive part of my career spent in fundraising leadership roles.

I set up Vanessa Newton Consulting to use my extensive knowledge across all areas of fundraising, and successful record of driving long-term growth and nurturing high performing teams. I wanted to give charities of all sizes a one-stop shop to pave the way to sustainable growth, by enabling and empowering their fundraising teams.

Wherever you are in developing your fundraising srategy, I can provide consultancy to get you from start to finish or deep dive into specific challanges - whether its conducting a full fundraising audit and competitor analysis, running workshops with teams or coaching individuals on a more long-term basis.

My Track Record

I have worked across most income streams at a delivery and strategic level, cutting my teeth as an individual giving fundraiser at the National Aids Trust, before moving to Mind where I led the high value team to double income from £7m to £14m, and then the cross directorate fundraising strategy to both grow income and transform how the Mind federation fundraised together.

Since 2021 I have worked as an independent consultant and interim Director for a range of charities, including UK Youth, Mental Health Innovations, Target Ovarian Cancer and YoungMinds.

I hold the IOF certificate in Fundraising Management, the REC certificate in recruitment, and I am a certified coach and member of the International Coaching Federation.

I have a deep understanding of how to get the best out of fundraisers and funders, with a passion for developing future leaders and helping teams work better together and fully integrated with the wider organisation, in vision, process and culture.
